WebJun 5, 2024 · Setting. The setting of the book Greenglass House is an inn called the Greenglass House. It is a smuggler's inn, on a hill, overlooking a harbor. It has five floors plus an attic. The Greenglass house was named for all of it's stained glass windows. The majority of the windows are green, but some of the windows are other colors too. Greenglass House is a 2014 novel by American writer Kate Milford. The novel won the Edgar Allan Poe Award for Best Children's Novel, and was also nominated for the National Book Award and the Andre Norton Award. The book hit the New York Times Best Seller list.
