WebMay 23, 2024 · Well, I am back and I thought I would share how to install a new dash cam with both a front AND rear facing camera in my new 2024 Tacoma. This should be the same on any 2016+ Toyota Tacoma WebFITCAMX Installed - Here's Some Installation Notes! I installed a FITCAMX dash camera in my CX-50 today. I didn't take pictures of the install, but I figured you guys might appreciate some installation notes beyond the 9-low-resolution-photo installation instructions they give on their website. I got the sunroof harness kit to avoid running wires.

Send them a question through Amazon and ask them to add it to their Amazon store, and I bet they will. I don't think you can add the rear camera later because the front camera wouldn't come with the input plug on it if you don't get the bundle.

To use the rear, you have to buy the FITCAMX package that includes the rear camera - there's a 2nd cable coming out of the front camera to power the rear and send the recording to the same card up front.
